6-26-2019 - (Camden County) - PINE HILL - 220 W. Branch Ave., 1822 Mansions Apartments - All Hands Apartment

Task Force 621 was dispatched to the Mansions Apartments at 22:46 for an Apartment Box. Ladder 62 and Squad 62 arrived simultaneously to a 2 story apartment building with smoke showing and immediately struck the All Hands. Squad 62 stretched a 1 3/4" line while Ladder 62 went to work opening up. Engine 88 arrived as second due engine and laid a supply for the Squad. Subsequent arriving units were all put to work opening up adjacent units checking for extension and pulling additional handlines. The bulk of the fire was contained to the original apartment, and the fire was placed under control after 45 minutes. Two patients were treated by BLS and ALS before being transported to area hospitals. The cause of the fire is under investigation by local and county officials.
