8401 arrived on location at 2 story Garden Style with smoke showing, and reported a working kitchen fire. Engine 88 layed in and prepared to go into service with a 1 3/4in. line, while Ladder 84 set up on Division A and forced entry. Ladders 62, 63, and 82 took positions on Division C, laddering and providing ventilation. Crews made quick work of the fire, and it was placed under control within 25 minutes. No injuries were reported, though one pet was found deceased.
