4-26-2014(Atlantic County) ATLANTIC CITY - 3600 Winchester Ave - Dwelling Fire - All Hands

Fire fighters were called to a structure fire on the 3600 block of Winchester Avenue. The fire broke out just before 10 p.m. Fire fighters were forced to evacuate the three-story building. Heavy smoke poured from the building's upper floors as crews worked to contain the blaze. It was reported that fire crews were working to rescue a person trapped on the third floor. The building apparently contains a rooming house. Fire fighters are investigating the cause of the fire. 1 firefighter was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
