10-30-2014 (Gloucester County ) East Greenwich - Berkeley Road & Whiskey Mill Road - Motor Vehicle Crash /with entrapment

District 19, Rescue 23-1, BLS 82-45, 82-55 and Life Support 1 were dispatched to Berkley and Whiskey Mill Roads for a motor vehicle crash with entrapment. Early reports from GC Communications were reporting a head on collision with possible two injuries. 1902 arrived on location a confirmed the report of a two vehicle motor vehicle crash. Deputy Chief Gould reported two injuries, and requested a helicopter to fly due to injuries on location. Rescue-Squad Company 1918 arrived on location and quickly gained access to the patients; crews were able to assist with the removal of the patients from the vehicles and assisted with the packaging of the patients. Gloucester County EMS and Insipira Mobile Intensive Care Unit were on location treating to the patients. An engine from Paulsboro Fire Department was added to handle the Landing Zone assignment in the field next to the accident site. 1 patient was airlifted to Cooper Trauma Center for evaluation while a 2nd patient was taken by ground to Cooper Trauma Center for an evaluation. The crash is been investigated by East Greenwich Police Department.
