2-27-2012(Gloucester County)LOGAN TOWNSHIP - I/A/O High Hill Road & Route 130 - Motor Vehicle Crash w/ Entrapment

At around 0825hrs District 18 and Rescue 25-1 were dispatched to the area of High Hill Road and Route 130 for a motor vehicle crash with entrapment. Initial reports to Logan Twp PD and Logan Twp FD was a car into a house pt was trapped in the car. Upon the arrival of PD pt self extricated from the vehicle, the pt was later evaluated and transported to local hospital by Gloucester County EMS. Command 1802 (Taylor) advised the county to start the Gloucester County Technical Rescue Team(Deptford Rescue 938, Gibbstown Rescue 2118, and Washington Twp Rescue 1038) to come shore up the residents porch prior to the removal of the vehicle. Upon the arrival of Rescue 2218 it was decided the porch could be shored up with crews and tools from 2118 and 2518, the remainder of the tech team was recalled. The porch was shored and the vehicle was removed from the house. Companies were available with no injuries to report.
