6-10-2012 (Gloucester County) WESTVILLE - 270 Chestnut Street - Dwelling All Hands

At around 2000hrs District 7 was dispatched to 270 Chestnut Street, in Westville for dwelling fire. 701(Chief Farley) and 801 (Chief Gismondi) arrived on location to find a 1 1/2 story single family dwelling with light smoke showing. Engine 733 arrived on location and went in-service with a 1 3/4 handline. Companies made entry into the residents and found a fire seated in the walls of the dormer on the Alpha Bravo side of the dwelling. Companies went to working opening up and made quick work of the fire. Companies remained on location for the overhaul process. The Gloucester County Fire Marshal's Office was on location for the investigation along with the Westville Police Department. There were two firefighters treated at the scene for heat exhaustion, no other injuries were reported.
