On Wednesday August 25, 2010 a building fire was dispatched in Pennsauken at 11:55 A.M. at 3762 Garfield Ave.
Command arrived with heavy smoke showing from the 2nd floor of a 2 story ordinary, apartment building striking the all hands. Engine 1191 secured a water supply and led off with a 1 3/4" hand line followed by a back up line. Companies reported heavy fire conditions on the 2nd floor. The Truck Company placed ground ladders and opened the roof. Searches were negative. The fire was placed under control with no reported injuries. The fire is under investigation by the Pennsauken Fire Department and the Camden County Fire Marshals office.
