7-23-2010(Camden County)VOORHEES Lauel Oakl Rd. -Vehicle vs. Building
On Friday July 23, 2010 at 9:35 A.M. the Voorhees Fire Department was dispatched for a crane that crashed into the Olive Garden Restaurant at 202 Laurel Oak Rd. Companies arrived to find a crane resting on the top of the building with the vehicle suspended in the air being supported by the outriggers. EMS reported no injuries. The interior of the building was not damaged. The Voorhees building inspector was special called to the scene. The crane was lifting a HVAC unit to the roof when the truck tipped. Witnesses stated they saw the truck lift off the ground followed by a loud crash. Two other cranes were called in to bring the truck back down to the ground.
