7-20-2010(Camden County)COLLINGSWOOD 30 Bellevue Terr.-All Hands Building

On July 20th, 2010 an alarm system was dispatched at 30 Haddon Ave in Collingswood at noon. Squad 16 and the Chief arrived to find smoke showing from the basement of a 3 story apartment building. Command upgraded the assignment to a working fire.Companies forced entry into the building to find heavy smoke and fire in the basement. Command struck the all hands box. Crews checked the upper floors for reports of possible occupants trapped. Crews placed a 1 ¾” hand line in operation in the basement as well as a back up line. A 3rd hand line was stretched to protect the staircase. The fire was placed under control with no injuries reported. The Camden County Fire Marshals office has the fire under investigation.
