5-5-2010(Camden County)CAMDEN 604 S. 4th St.-2nd Alarm Dwelling
A dwelling fire was dispatched at 7:30 A.M to 604 S. 4th Street in Camden City. Camden County Communications advised responding units they were receiving multiple calls. Battalion 1 arrived and reported a vacant boarded dwelling with heavy fire throughout. Companies arrived and secured a water supply and went into operation with a 1 ¾” hand line. The Truck Company opened up as a back up line was stretched. Companies heavy fire conditions as the building condition worsened. All companies were ordered out of the building as defensive operations were being set up. The 2nd Alarm was struck. Multiple hand lines were placed in operation as Ladder 3 went in operation with the Ladder Pipe. Fire had extended to the attached exposures. The fire was knocked down and placed under control with no reported injuries to firefighters. The Camden City Fire Marshals Office has the fire under investigation.
