9-9-2009(Camden County)CAMDEN 806 N. 6th St.-All Hands Dwelling

A dwelling fire was reported at 6th and State Street in Camden City at 7:20 p.m. Engine 6, Engine 1, Squad 1, Ladder 3, Rescue 1 and Battalion 2 were dispatched on the box in the North section of the city. EMS was added as reports of possible people trapped were received. Engine 6 arrived and reported heavy fire showing. Battalion 2 struck the all hands adding Engine 9 and Car 3 on the box. Battalion 2 reported a 2 story dwelling, that was heavily boarded and appeared to be vacant. Engine 6 stretched a hand line to the rear of the dwelling as Ladder 3 set up Division A preparing to go in operation with Ladder Pipes. Multiple hand lines were placed in operation to surround the dwelling operating in an exterior attack. Command reported heavy fire conditions on both floors of the dwelling. Crews remained in defensive operation as the fire was brought under control at the 60 minute mark. No injuries were reported on the fire ground. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Camden City Fire Marshals Office.
