8-8-2009(Camden County)CAMDEN 1725 S. 6th St.-All Hands Dwelling

At 1:06 p.m. a dwelling fire was reported at 1725 South 6th Street. 911 was receiving calls for a side of the house on fire. Engine 10, 8, Ladder 2, Ladder 1, Rescue 1 and Battalion 1 were dispatched for the box. Battalion 1 arrived and reported a 2 ½ story, wood frame twin with fire on the 2nd floor. The all hands was sounded. Car 3 and Squad 7 were dispatched. Engine 10 arrived and led off with a 1 ¾” hand line. Ladder 2 placed ground ladders as Rescue 1 performed a search. Engine 8 arrived and secured a water supply. Crews found fire conditions on the 2nd floor and in the walls. Three hand lines were placed in operation. The fire was knocked down with no reported injuries. The home owner stated he believed an outlet shorted out in the wall. The Camden City Fire Marshals have the fire under investigation.
