6-9-2009(Camden County)CHERRY HILL 1527 Haddonfield/Berlin Rd.-All Hands Dwelling
On June 9th 2009 at 6:30 p.m. a dwelling fire was reported at 1527 Berlin Road in Cherry Hill. Camden County Communications advised responding units of a dryer fire that the occupants were attempting to extinguish. Additional information was received that all occupants were out of the dwelling. Companies arrived to find heavy fire conditions in Division C and heavy smoke throughout a 2 story single family wood frame dwelling. Crews led off with a 1 ¾” and a 2 ½” hand lines to find heavy fire conditions in the interior. Command gave an updated report of heavy fire with fire through the roof. Water supplies were secured as primary searches were conducted and ladders were placed. Command used all hands to fight the fire which was quickly spreading the in the dwelling. 30 firefighters were called to the scene for suppression. The family was displaced from the damaged dwelling. The Cherry Hill Fire Marshals Office has the fire under investigation.
