5-1-2009(Burlington County)MAPLE SHADE 2908 S. Rt. 73-All Hands Building

At 10:27 hours a building fire was dispatched at 2809 Route 73 in Maple Shade. Companies arrived to find heavy fire from an auto repair shop. Command struck the all hands. Companies secured a water supply and went into operation with multiple 2 1/2” hand lines. Maple Shade Ladder Company arrived and went into operation with the ladder pipe. Companies knocked the bulk of the fire down as crews went to the roof to check for extension. The fire was placed under control with no reported injures. Route 73 was partially blocked due to apparatus and hose lines in the highway. The fire was contained to the garage area of the structure. The business was not open at the time of the fire.
