3-12-2009(Camden County)COLLINGSWOOD Rt. 130-M.V.A/Fire

Engine 16, Rescue 16 and BLS 16 were dispatched to Route 130 in the area of Haddon Ave for a Motor Vehicle Accident Rescue Assingment. Crews arrived to find a vehicle overturned and well involved in fire with power lines down across the highway with a victim laying on the ground. 2 civilians rescued the trapped and injured occupant out of the burning vehicle prior to crews arriving. Crews knocked down the fire and waited for PSEG to secure the power before full extinguishment. Camden County ALS and Pennsauken BLS transported the injured occupant to Cooper Hospital. One lane of Rt. 130 was shut down for 14 hours. The vehicle was traveling down Route 130 when it lost control and struck the telephone pole.
