8-8-2008(Camden County)CAMDEN 1505 Filmore St.-All Hands Dwelling

At 4:36 p.m. a dwelling fire was reported in the City of Camden at 1605 Filmore Street. Rescue 1 arrived and reported heavy fire conditions on the 1st floor. Battalion 1 reported a 2 story wood frame dwelling with heavy fire conditions. The all hands was sounded on arrival. Crews led off with a 1 ¾” hand line and began fire attack as Battalion 1 struck the emergency evacuation as building conditions were worsening. Command reported heavy fire 1st and 2nd floor with smoke throughout. Crews exited the dwelling and set up for defensive operations. Ladder 1 was set up as the Ladder Pipe was placed in operation from the bucket. Crews also placed several 2 ½” hand lines in operation. The Exposure was protected by a hand line from the top and also in between the two structures. The fire was brought under control around 5:15 p.m. No injuries were reported on the fire ground. The Camden City Fire Marshals have the fire under investigation at this time.
