7-24-2008(Camden County)CAMDEN 624 Eerie St.-2nd Alarm Dwelling
A box was transmitted in Camden for a reported dwelling fire at 624 Eerie Street. Engines 1,6, Ladder 1,3, Rescue 1, Battalion 2 and Car 4 were dispatched to the scene. Command arrived and struck the 2nd alarm. The Battalion reported a 2 story end of the row, ordinary, fully involved and spreading down the the row. Squad 7, Engine 9, Ladder 2, Battalion 1 and Car 3 were added on the 2nd alarm box. Crews entered the exposures to stop the fire from spreading down the row. Defensive operations were taken on the fully involved building. Interior crews reported extension into the D exposure. The fire was placed under control with no injuries to firefighters at 4:50 a.m. The American Red Cross was called for 7 displaced occupants. The Philadelphia Fire Department received calls across the bridge for smoke in the area, drifting over from Camden.
