6-1-2008(Camden County)CAMDEN 500 blk. Borton St.-All Hands Dwelling

A dwelling box was dispatched in Camden City for the 500 Block of Borton Street. Car 4 arrived and confirmed a working fire in a 2 story stand alone ordinary dwelling, 15x40. Battalion 2 arrived and struck the all hands for heavy fire on the 2nd floor. Crews arrived, established a water supply and went in defensive operations with multiple 2 ½” hand lines. A primary search was conducted after the bulk of the fire was knocked down with negative results. The vacant dwelling has been the scene of multiple fires prior. No injuries were reported on the fire ground. The fire is under investigation by the Camden City Fire Marshals.
