5-6-2008(Camden County)CAMDEN 1237 Whitman Ave-All Hands Dwelling

At. 7pm a dwelling box was dispatched at 1237 Whitman Ave. Police arriving on the scene observed an occupant going back into the house. The occupant exited moments later with his Playstation in hand. Engine 8 arrived on location and reported heavy smoke showing from the 2nd floor. Battalion 1 arrived and reported a 2 story middle of the row dwelling with heavy smoke showing striking the all hands.Engine 8 went in operation with a 1 ¾ hand line as Ladder 2 set up ground ladders. Rescue 1 arrived and performed a search with negative results.Crews placed 3 1 ¾” hand lines in operation to knock the fire down without extension to the exposures. No injuries were reported on the fire ground.
