12-14-2008(Camden County)CAMDEN 502 Line St.-All Hands Dwelling
At 4:50 p.m a dwelling box was dispatched at 5th and Line Streets. Battalion 1 arrived at 502 Line Street with a 2 story end of the row with heavy fire through the roof. The All Hands was sounded. Crews set up for defensive operations placing multiple 2 ½” hand lines around the structure. An Engine crew was placed in the attached exposure as fire was threatening to extend. Crews had some fire conditions in the wall but was stopped without losing the entire exposure. The Ladder Company opened up the roof to prevent fire from running the row. An Engine and Ladder Company were called above the all hands box. The fire was placed under control without any injuries. The American Red Cross was called to assist the displaced occupants. The Camden City Fire Marshals have the fire under investigation.
