11-2-2008(Camden County)CAMDEN 601 S. 4th St- 2dn Alarm Building

A box was dispatched in Camden at S. 4th and Royden Streets for a reported building fire. Engine 1, Engine 6, Engine 8, Ladder 1, Ladder 2, Rescue 1, Battalion 1 and Car 4 were dispatched on the box. Engine 1 arrived on location and reported heavy fire showing from the 2nd floor. Battalion 1 arrived at 601 S. 4th Street and reported a two story end of the row with heavy fire showing from the 2nd floor of a vacant and boarded building, striking the all hands. Battalion 2 was added on the box. Battalion 1 reported heavy fire conditions striking the 2nd alarm. Companies placed multiple master streams in operation as the Ladder Companies set up Ladder Pipes. Companies had heavy fire on the 2nd floor and in the roof area which spread to the attached exposure. Car 3 placed the fire under control with no injures reported on the fire ground. The American Red Cross was called to the scene to assist the displaced occupants from the exposure dwelling. The Camden City Fire Marshals Office has the fire under investigation.
