10-30-2008(Camden County)GLOUCESTER TWP. Rt. 42-M.V.A. Rescue

At 12:30 hours Gloucester Township Fire and Rescue units, ALS and BLS units, were dispatched for a M.V.A Rescue on Route 42 Northbound. Command arrived and reported a 2 vehicle M.V.A with 2 occupants trapped. The Rescue Company arrived and went in operation and worked with EMS to free the trapped occupant. The occupants were extricated from the vehicle and transported by EMS to local hospitals. While units were operating on location crews encountered a 2nd collision on the highway. No injuries were reported from the secondary crash. The crash is under investigation by the New Jersey State Police.
